We've been on an apple kick through the summer and fall, enjoying a few different kinds. First it was "gala" apples. Then a couple of weeks ago I was able to get some "honey crisp." Today, I got some "ambrosia" apples, eager to try them.

I like how you can see the "shadow" of where leaves used to hang over the apple when they were on the tree.

Apples are a good source of vitamins and fiber. They make a good, quick snack. They can be served with dips, too, such as honey-peanut butter or cream cheese-type dips. Or caramel. YUM.
